Half Day Clinic

The Harold Swash Putting School of Excellence offers an intense but rewarding lesson for the golfer that is keen to master the art of putting and move a step closer to achieving their potential. All pupils that attend the clinic receive the personal attention of Harold Swash approved coaches. The lesson consists of three main sections, Theory, Analysis and Practical, and advice on custom fitting your putter.

Half Day Session 3.5 Hours
How it Works:-

Step 1 Assessment.
30 Minutes

A student assessment is carried out where the pupils past history and his analysis of his stroke is talked through, the students learning style and goals are also determined.
After this assessment the pupil is filmed with high tech video equipment.  State of the art analysis equipment, the SamPutt and Balance Lab are used when needed.

Assess the pupil’s visual set up and visual perceptions. With our new Vision Centre we can offer a very rare insight into groundbreaking vision issues.

Also as an added feature during this stage, a recommendation and advice on your putter is given. A correctly fitted putter will help you develop the most efficient stroke and improve your putting mechanics. All of the below issues will be assessed.
- The correct length.
- Loft and lie to suit your action.
- Ball strike-consistency.
- Impact strike.
- Advice on eye line position to maximise a pure strike.
- Advice on heel, mid-heel and centre shafted putters that might best suit your stroke. 
- Tuning and sensitivity of your putter (Counterbalance plugs).
 
Step 2 Analysis
10 Minutes

Once we have all of  the data we analyse the pupil’s stroke. No stone is left unturned in to unlocking your true potential. A personal assessment of your stroke, set up and ball strike will be given in conjunction with our high-speed camera and computer software. Video can very quickly help golfers to understand the basic fundamentals of a specific movement. 

Step 3 Practical Session
80 Minutes

The ‘Practical session’ enables the pupil to work through the required changes. The session will allow the pupil to systematically work through the highlighted features, receiving the necessary feedback where required, and utilising various training features, exercises and drills when necessary. Providing golfers with immediate video feedback of their last performance enables the coach to reinforce the technical elements of the movement.

Step 4 Green Reading Session 
60 Minutes

See through the eyes of a professional.
No matter how good your stroke or how well you align yourself; if you haven’t read the green correctly, the putt is a lost cause. You must know what to look for or you won’t see it. Make green reading a true art.

Step 5 The Power of Imagery
30 minutes

Positive visualisation or imagination of the shot, plays such an important part in all aspects of golf, from a 250 yard drive, to lobbing a ball over the bunker, or even seeing the line of the putt. Some of our visualisation drills could be the missing link to your perfect game.

To finish the session, once the pupil has taken on board the proposed changes, more video capture is taken of the pupils mechanics and ball roll to enable a before and after comparison to be made. All pupils take away a CD copy of the footage taken, as well as detailed notes for their own personal reference. A development plan will also be discussed setting conditions for controlled learning.
