Harold Swash Putting School of Excellence - Day Clinic

The Harold Swash Putting School of Excellence offers an intense but rewarding day for the golfer that is keen to master the art of putting and move a step closer to achieving their potential. All pupils that attend the clinic receive the personal attention of Harold Swash approved coaches. The day consists of three main sections, Theory, Analysis and Practical.

Before any practical work is undertaken  a ‘Theory session’ is given to enable the pupil to understand his principles and philosophy and what is required to putt well under pressure. It is from this understanding and foundation of knowledge that the pupil will be able to self reflect and truly maximise the benefit from attending the clinic long after the clinic is finished.

The ‘Analysis session’ involves video capture of the students putting stroke and ball roll. State of the art software from Quintic consultancy is then used to provide a detailed analysis of the pupil’s mechanics and roll.  Coupled with your coaches notes the video footage enables a programme to be developed that focus’s on the relevant areas of improvement for the pupil.

The ‘Practical session’ enables the pupil to work through the required changes. The session will allow the pupil to systematically work through the highlighted features, receiving the necessary feedback where required, and utilising various training features and drills when necessary. The relevant issue of green reading is also covered in this session.

To finish the session, once the pupil has taken on board the proposed changes, more video capture is taken of the pupils mechanics and ball roll to enable a before and after comparison to be made.

All pupils take away a CD copy of the footage taken, as well as detailed notes for their own personal reference.
