I played a 36 hole competition yesterday on pretty good quick greens and had 30 putts each time. I lost concentration/trust on 2 short putts one of which led to my only 3 putt of the day but apart from that putted well and overall my putting saved me which in turn improved the rest of my short game by taking some pressure off it.
All the best,
Nick (1 Handicap)
I consider myself very privileged to have experienced a custom fit putter session at the West of England Golf Academy at Henbury Golf Club, thanks to the generosity of National Club Golfer Magazine and the Yes putter company.
It can best be described as a real eye opener and was extremely informative, with the aid of high speed cameras and computer technology, it certainly gives you plenty to think about.
But with the excellent tutoring from yourself it all falls into place so quickly, and you find your technique improving instantly with confidence growing by the minute.
I think it’s amazing how we all seem to take for granted that we do the simple things correctly i.e like striking the ball in the centre of the club face, in my case not so as proven by the simple tell all tape test!
I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit to the fitting centre to anyone who wants to improve their game at whatever standard they play, many thanks to you who’s tutoring has already enabled me to lower my score and enjoy my new Yes Putter to the full.
“The whole experience of custom fitting was beyond my expectations.”
The putter (Olivia) was used in action yesterday. My putting was outstanding. I recorded a 72 (par 73 course) in my second medal ever and was the leading in the club house until the last group come in. I was third out of a field of 90 competitors.
I new things would improve after our session and its great to understand the correct techniques to work towards a decent stroke. Thanks for your time and effort. I managed to break 70 for the first time 69 on my home course. Putts 26. Still some grooving to do…..but actually enjoying the putting. Hopefully will manage to get back for a check up next year.. and maybe some short game work.
Thank you again for all your help – I’m thrilled with the putter and the whole experience was an education.
Just a quick email to say thanks for the putting lesson I had a few weeks ago. Before, my best competition score at my present club was 80 but since, I have entered two competitions and scored 76 and 74. I think its really the green reading instruction that has made the most difference, but cutting my putter down to the length I always thought it should have been has helped too.
Thanks for the 3 hour short game school yesterday, played nine holes this morning 25 points playing off 19 handicap, up and down from 2 bunkers, chipping like a pro, would have pared every hole but for missing some 4 to 6 foot puts, once again thanks for the great tuition will see soon to get the putting sorted out.
I came to see you on two occasions a couple of years ago when my handicap was 9. My objective was to try and get down to 7 realistically, and I would have been a happy man.
Two years later and all the advice and practice has paid off. I am now down to 5 and most of the success can be attributed to the short game and in particular the putting lessons you gave me. Thank you so much.
Category 1 was far beyond my expectations.
Just wanted to say thank you ever so much for your instruction over the winter period. The adjustments I have made and having a putting strategy have really help. Im feeling a lot more confident with my stroke.
